Planning Application for 84 homes on Wild Hill
CALL-IN OF PLANNING APPLICATION V/2026/0594
At the recent Teversal, Stanton Hill and Skegby Forum meeting this new planning application was discussed.
The site is at the busy junction of Wild Hill and Chesterfield Road, with the only access road from Wild Hill, less than 100m from the junction.
~
At the request of residents, our local County Councillor Cathy Mason has requested this application is called in to go to committee.

Should you also wish to comment, this can be done online via the Ashfield District Council web site under the planning reference V/2026/0594 or by clicking here and clicking on the 'Comment on this application' button.
~
Matters that you might consider as worthy of comment include:
~
- - The site was designated as an isolated and unsustainable location in the council's Draft Local Plan
- - A development of this scale could permanently change the rural landscape through buildings, roads, traffic and lighting
- - The planning application itself recognizes it may affect the setting of Grade I listed Hardwick Hall
- - It's proximity to a very busy and tricky road junction
- - It's very poor / non-existent access to public transport
- - No schools, shops or other local amenities are within reasonable walking distance
~
Please note comments needs to be submitted by October 28th.
