Forum receives Discover Ashfield award
The Forum were very proud to receive this award at the Discover Ashfield Awards ceremony on Friday, February 28th, held at Kirkby Leisure Centre.
The Forum received Special Recognition for Volunteers Changing Lives in the Outstanding Organisation category
On behalf of the Forum, Chair Andrew Jenkins said:
"The Teversal, Stanton Hill and Skegby Neighbourhood Forum started 10 years ago to take forward neighbourhood planning in areas without a town or parish council. We have working groups in Planning and Environment, Climate Change & Sustainability, and Heritage, as well as these specific projects: Stanton Hill Investment Plan (with Ashfield DC); Skegby Library / Coop Food Share; Community Energy Project; Teversal Repair Café
We very much appreciate this award and I would like to thank all the Forum members for all their efforts and especially: Mike Vardy, Jane Cooper, Doug Edwards, Richard Goad, Lynn Henstock, Lis Reid, Janine Vardy and Geoff Snare.

The Forum is recognised by Ashfield District Council as the representative body for Skegby, Stanton Hill and Teversal and Forum working groups are dealing with a number of issues affecting our area.
