4. AGM
The current Officers: Andrew Jenkins (Chair), Geoff Snare (Secretary) and Terry
Whitehead (Treasurer) were all re-nominated and agreed to continue in their current roles for the coming year.
The Management committee currently consisting of the three officers plus: Lis Reid,

5. Response to ADC Draft Local Plan
Response must be submitted by 5pm on Monday January 29th
Lis Reid highlighted the difficulty of providing responses via the ADC preferred online form mechanism. It was agreed that a full separate document submission would be put together by Lis, using a template that matched as closely as possible the online form. Responses from various members of the committee / forum would be created using the template and sent to Lis to collate.
Richard Goad would seek clarification from ADC as to whether this method of response was acceptable, or whether we would need to make an online submission with references to the separate document.
In general Lis expressed concern at the disproportionate level of new housing developments in the Sutton area, including the Neighbourhood Plan area, compared to the rest of the Ashfield District. This was particularly true given the decision to abandon (due to widespread local objections), the proposed large housing developments in Hucknall at Whyburn Farm and Cauldwell Road, which are missing from the current Draft Local Plan.
6. Renewal of the Neighbourhood Plan in 2025
The Forum had been led to believe that complete renewal of the Neighbourhood Plan was due in 2025, which would have required a very significant amount of time, effort and money, and there were grave doubt if this could be managed given our very limited resources.
However, subsequent to the meeting it transpired that a relatively straightforward redesignation is required in 2025, and the complete renewal of the plan is not due until 2031.
Richard Goad will confirm this at his forthcoming meeting with ADC.
In any case, Andrew Jenkins agreed to get in touch with the chair of the Selston Neighbourhood Plan (the only other NP in the ADC area) to discuss topics of mutual
interest
7. Any Other Business
- Lis Reid advised that the referral of ADC to the local council ombudsman in relation to the granting of planning permission for land adjacent to Norcroft, Wild Hill, was still progressing.
- Andrew Jenkins advised that he had met with the new officer responsible for Climate Change Strategy at ADC. The officer had advised that there are grants available for Community Energy project and Andrew & Mike were looking for additional participants from within Teversal Village – Richard Goad and Geoff Snare expressed their interest.
- Andrew advised that the Stanton Hill food share project was continuing successfully with a new source of donations from Pleasley. They were however a little short on volunteers due to the ill health of some current members of the team – so any new volunteers would be very welcome
- Andrew asked for agreement that we should seek pledges from all the candidates in the forthcoming regional mayoral elections, as we had requested from the candidates in the recent local council elections. All those present expressed their support
